I pray this newsletter encourages you to continue growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus. This is a vital necessity for all believers throughout our time on this earth.
In our current environment, distractions abound, and news cycles move rapidly, but as believers, we are called to remain grounded in the Lord amidst society’s chaos. In contrast, God calls believers to pause and think: “Be still and know that He is God.” His word guides those who belong to Him, so we may know Him more and walk in His ways, providing light in turbulent times.
During my personal devotional times, I have been reading through Isaiah. This week has brought much encouragement and rest to my soul. The latest chapters of my study, which have been in Isaiah 44-47, have been great reminders, especially with all the troubles and tribulations of this world. Repeatedly, the Lord declares:
- There is no god like Jehovah God.
- I am the Lord, and there is no other.
- Besides Me, there is no God.
Even though, as believers, we may know these truths, daily challenges can often distract us from our main focus: ‘Knowing God more deeply and being aware of His constant work’ no matter what is occurring around us.
Please allow me to share a few ways the Lord has used these truths to remind me that He is mightily at work and continues to build His church.
Our ministry has been extremely busy this first quarter of 2026. New doors of opportunity continue to be opened. Since the release of the evangelism book, several churches have been reminded of some of Ed’s other Christ- centered teachings. They are beginning to use these different teachings in the training and equipping of members of their churches. The same is happening on foreign fields. I just received word from one of our pastors in South Africa, whom we assist. He informed me he was able to order a copy of the book from an online bookstore. He is looking forward to reading and gaining from it to help with his growing ministry. Then, the Lord continues to use the devotions we post 5-days a week. I encourage you to check them out if you are not already reading them. Afterward, as some others do, you may desire to send them to others, so that they may be encouraged and strengthened in God’s word.
Additionally, we have been interviewing individuals who will be featured on a podcast. The podcast will be called ‘Transforming Grace’. The purpose of these interviews is to highlight the various ministries the Lord has blessed us with, giving others a sense of how the Lord continues to be at work today.
Since you are involved with helping with each door of opportunity, I wanted a way for you and others to hear the amazing testimonies coming in about the book and other sermons. In this first round of interviews, we met with five men. These men shared how the Lord continues to work in their lives through the book, “The Surpassing Power of the Gospel,” and other Christ-centered materials we make available.
Three pastors shared from different aspects of their ministries, including their congregations, mission outreach, and how they use the ministry’s Gospel tracts as they witness to others. Another was a young man Ed was discipling, and the last person was someone who was the fruit of a church’s ongoing prison outreach. I can’t wait for you to see these. They will be available in the upcoming weeks.
I will just give you an idea from one of those interviews. The prison convert shared an amazing testimony of God’s forgiveness and grace. Why have I chosen this man? My desire with this testimony is to encourage you with how the Lord is doing that you are part of.
His name is Kyle. After years of lawless rebellion, going in and out of jail multiple times, he was eventually sent to the Angola Penitentiary. But because there is no God like our God, it was while Kyle was in prison that he heard the gospel from faithful pastors who regularly went there to teach God’s word.
To summarize this miraculous encounter, one day, when sitting under the teaching of God’s word, the glorious light of the Gospel shone in the darkness of his sin-sick soul. He repented of his sin and genuinely placed his faith in the only one who could save him. Kyle became a new creation in Christ. Of course, that didn’t change the consequences he was enduring. However, it did change his heart and set him on a mission to share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others.
These same pastors took this man under their wings, discipled him, loved and cared for him. pastors had worked with Ed in their churches and in prison ministry. These godly So, they often spoke of Ed and the ministry the Lord had given him and how they benefited from that.
Long story short, Kyle was eventually released and, after receiving seminary training and a doctorate degree, he now works with a reintegration program in jail. This allows him to hold classes to help prisoners as they re-enter society. He asked permission to implement Ed’s Evangelism study during these classes.
However, one of the main points that so encouraged me, and I hope will encourage you, is how the Lord works in getting glory for Himself. Kyle told me that when he bought the book, ‘The Surpassing Power of the Gospel’, he couldn’t put it down. He said every page and bible reference is underlined. He knew this was the message he wanted to convey to others. Then he said, “I never sat under Ed’s teaching, personally. But I heard about him often from my mentors. But now, after reading this book, I feel like I have. However, I have been the recipient of the fruit of his teaching in others.”
As Ed often shared, one of his desires was for the Lord to use him, as one of the branches in His Vine, to bear fruit for His glory. But he desired fruit that would remain. This is precisely what the Lord is doing, dear friend. Your co-laboring in this ministry continues to bear fruit for the Lord’s name’s sake, and His fruit always remains. As I shared with the men as we made preparations for the interviews, “This is not about Ed Lacy, but it is about the God of Ed Lacy”
For this reason, I thank you once again for continuing to share in this ministry. Your love, care, prayers, and giving are bearing fruit that remains. The Lord is using you to encourage me to press forward in this journey of faith. I am constantly amazed at how the Lord continues to open new doors of opportunity. Please continue to pray for me to have wisdom and strength of mind and body to carry out my assignment.
Just a note in closing: if you would like to participate in future interviews, please let me know. We want to get this material out to as many people as possible. Many are so confused and deceived about the truth of the Gospel and the authentic results from being born from above.
Because of these astounding truths about the God we serve, let us not forget or be remiss in displaying and dispersing this astounding gospel. We, as those who have been bought with a price, have a story to tell. It is His story! Let’s be faithful to proclaim Him boldly with our lives and our lips, for His Name’s sake, for there is no god like our God.
Your Servant for Jesus’ Sake,
